Chapter 12: Meet & Greet A Terrific Feat
(Christine's Point of View)
The next morning I headed back off to my work, holding proudly the designs I had drawn up last night. I called over Mr. McCain for him to see. He took all the drawings in hand and as he flipped through each one studying the details, became engulfed in the lines and colors in each picture. "These are incredible, I don't think I've seen, in all my years, something amazing like these are. I'm calling Ms. Benway immediately." He said awed, handing me back the papers. I went to my desk and started up a new portfolio for the band My Chemical Romance.
About a half hour later, I was called into Mr. McCain's office. I made my way down the hallway of other artist's cubicles until I opened the door to his office. There wasn't just Mr. McCain and his secretary in there. Nope, I first spotted James and then five guys standing to the side of her with Mr. McCain smiling gallantly. I looked at my old best friend, who was still short, and quickly releasing a smile I ran over to him and jumped on him with a full-on hug.
"I missed you so much!" I squealed, tears omitting from my eyes, my feet off the ground. And Frankie hugged back just as much. After we stopped hugging, I became alert to everyone else in the room, and blushed madly. "Um, hi." I said to Frank's band mates. They all smiled back except for the guy that resembled the picture of the lead singer in the booklet, Gerard Way. He looked much different then the photo, his hair was longer and he was wearing a black velvet suit with a red tie. "Hi, I'm Gerard." He said sweetly. I smiled and looked over at Mr. McCain. "Go get your work Christine." He urged me. I left the room and skipped down the hallway as in pure bliss. I had gotten to my cubicle and taken the My Chemical Romance portfolio folder. Then I returned to the room and handed the folder to Mr. McCain, who simply took the work out and handed it to James. As James finished examining a picture she handed it off to the other guitarist Ray Toro, who then passed it down the line. I watched each of their reactions, but none excited me as much as it did for Gerard's expression. His expression, clearly showed he was blown away, and he looked over the picture in awe, tracing the lines and studying them deeply.
After all pictures were examined and returned to me, I looked all around the room, the silence was killing me. But thank God, James broke it. She walked over to me and put her hand on my shoulder, "Those were incredible." "And if you don't mind I'd like to photo copy so we could choose the ones we like best!" She chattered away. "Sure." I said smiling proudly. I looked beside her and saw Frank whispering something into Gerard's ear, making him break out into a smile. My heart swooned at this smile and I paid no attention to James.
I absentmindedly handed James the portfolio and her and Mr. McCain went to go make photo copies. So, I was left alone with the band, the boys. "Oh this is our new drummer Bob!" Frank said introducing me, to what should have been a guy named Matt Pelisser as the drummer. I shook the guys hand politely, he blue eyes were incredible. I turned back to Frankie, and wiped away another automatic tear of mine. Frank's eyes told a different story from when I had last seen him. They looked mischievous and it kind of scared me. "Gosh look at all your piercings and tattoos!" I said doubling him over. "Gosh, like look at your hair!" He playfully shot back.
"So, what now?" I asked to no one in particular. "Want to hang with us?" Gerard piped up, brushing a strand of hair out of the way. "Um..." I looked at Frank and he nodded. "Sure, why not, Mr. McCain won't care at all, since I basically just landed him fame.
They all lead me out and into their band-van, which was a blue color. Mikey, the bassist and Ray had a small argument over driving.
"The last time you drove this thing you almost hit a pole and a squirrel!" Ray remarked. "The squirrel had it coming! I swear! That pole was jutting out too! Please! Please! Just let me drive, this once!" Mikey pleaded.
"No, I'm driving!" Ray declared, he flicked Mikey's forehead and jumped into the drivers seat. Mikey, defeated, took a seat all the way in the back...he acted like a drama queen. Bob sat in the front passenger seat, and since Mikey complained he didn't want anyone sitting next to him in the back row, I got stuck between Gerard and Frank. "Where do we go?" Ray said starting up the minivan. "Pick up the girls and go somewhere?" Frank asked. "Mr. little Iero, do you have a girlfriend?" I asked laughing. He looked at me sour-faced. "Nope, but she's my best friend. But you know you'll always be the best!" He said quickly after it, trying not to hurt my feelings. "Ha, you couldn't hurt my feelings if you tried!" I told him. He just stared back devilishly to me. I rolled me eyes and stared ahead.
Bob turned on the CD player and 'Ava Adore,' by the Smashing Pumpkins started to play. Gerard started to sing all the words, and I just stared at him, tranced even more. His voice sounded so much more beautiful then on record. Frank nudged me for attention. I looked at him annoyed and leaned my head on the seat.
An hour after the song ended, we had stopped at a house. "Gerard go get Kerrie, and I think Ariel and Cy are hanging out at her house too." Frank commanded. Gerard jumped out of the minivan and made his way to the house. I watched him walk to the house, but Frank tapped me on the shoulder. "So how have you been?" He asked. "Good, I'm living with my best friend, Miranda, remember her?" I said. "Yep. I do. Hey you remember the contract we had made?" He asked. I smiled and opened my bag, and pulled out my wallet. In one of the credit card holders I pulled out a piece of folded paper. I opened it up and showed it to him. "Wow, yours looks way better then mine." He said tracing the spot where his blood had hit the paper. "That's because I cared more!" I joked. He opened his jaw, offended-like. "So not!" He retorted. "Just kidding kiddo!" I smiled. He handed me back the contract and I put it away.
Gerard then swung open the van door. "Everyone meet Christine. Christine this is Kerrie." Gerard said pointing to a girl with black hair that covered half of her face, a guitar pick necklace. "Hey." She said shyly with a sweet smile on her face. I said hey back and she jumped into the van next to Mikey. In which, she immediately started to poke Mikey, to wake him up. "This is Ariel." Gerard said indicating to a tall and curvy girl, her dark hair made her dark complexion look very pretty. "Yo!" She said laid back. She then walked around the car and opened his door and gave him a kiss. "And this, is Cy." Gerard said about the last girl whose hair was blue and black and looked like she had a lot of sugar. "Hey what's up?" She asked, just as hyper as she looked. She then turned her attention to Kerrie, who was still poking the silently sleeping Mikey. "Na-uh that's not how you wake him up!" Cy laughed. She hoped in the van and sat on Mikey. "Good morning Sunshine!" She said as Mikey woke up startled. We all laughed, and Ariel took the seat next to Kerrie, since Cy decided to sit on Mikey. "Where to next?" Gerard asked.

Chapter 13; Dost thou love me? I know thou wilt say 'Ay,'
We were dropped off at the bands' apartment, while Ray went to go pick up the rest of the girls. "OK! OK! I have an idea....sherades!" Cy said jumping to cure our boredom. "How about we put a twist it a bit...actually....how about it we make out the scene of the movie or play. I mean we'll have a partner and we have to act it out." Ariel added. We all thought it was a good idea, so we all input our favorite scenes. Cy partnered with Mikey. Ariel decided to partner up with Kerrie. Bob and Frank partnered up and that left Gerard and me. Bob and Frank decided to name their team, "The Spandex Fighters." No one else followed in their trend...
Kerrie and Ariel were up first, having a go at a scene from the movie Legally Blond. We tried to figure who had put it in the bowl with all the papers but the culprit would not come out. Next it was Cy and Mikey, they acted out a scene from the original King Kong. We were laughing tears, watching Mikey trying to be King Kong...priceless. Then The Spandex Fighters had a go of Rocky Horror Picture Show...once again laughing tears. When I picked the paper for Gerard and my turn, I was astounded to see I had gotten my favorite scene from a play. The balcony scene from Romeo and Juliet. I knew all the words. "'Tis but thy name that is my enemy; Thou art thyself, though not a *self*. What's a name? it is nor hand, nor foot, Nor arm, nor face, nor any other part Belonging to a man. O, be some other name! What's in a name? that which we call a rose By any other name would smell as sweet; So love would, were he not love called, Retain that dear perfection which he owes Without that title. Doff thy name, And for that name which is no part of thee Take all myself." I said, altering some lines. Gerard looked at me crazily. "Um, but I will be just love and not of thy name?" Gerard said trying to match me. We all burst out in laughter of his sheepishness. As we sat down, Ray entered the apartment, with...more girls! Two girls followed Ray in. Both brown hair, but one with a little blue in it, that matched her outfit. Bob got up and greeted his girlfriend, who had bluish green eyes and was almost the same height as Bob. "Christine, this is Laurie, Laurie this is Christine." Bob said introducing us to each other. Frankie got up and almost tackled the other girl. Her eyes were hazel and she immediately reminded me of Frank, for she had the same bouncingly atmosphere around her. They did some old-school hand shake and ended up laughing at Frankie's stupidity for messing it up. "Christine! Yo, this is Halie, I mentioned her before remember?" Frank said. I nodded and smiled. I felt so...out of place. I didn't feel like Frank was treating me as a friend. I felt Gerard get up and mumble about getting a glass of water. I, jumped up and asked him if I could get a glass to, and followed him to the kitchen. "So what do you think about them?" He asked getting out glasses. "I think they're really cool people." I said truthfully. "Halie really likes Frank, but they're just best friends. he keeps saying he doesn't want a relationship." Gerard stated. "That sucks for Halie...that doesn't seem like the Frank I knew at all." I commented. "Yeah, I just keep trying to lift her mind, so does Kerrie." He said. "Oh well, nothing we can do..." i said and took a sip of the water Gerard had poured me.

Chapter 14: Hide your face, so the world will Never find you
I finished my glass, washed it, and started to leave the room when I felt the back pocket of my pants vibrate. I startled, jumped a bit and took my cell phone out. I picked it up only to be greeted by a very worried and crazy Miranda.
"Where have you been, I called you a million times!" "I'm hanging with a band and their girlfriends." I said to her. "WHAT?! And you don't invite me?!" Miranda said, sarcastically. She actually really didn't care, because she knew my job would always do something like that to me. I had hung with many bands before, most of it was for my job. A lot of the bands were pretty cool people though.
"Ha-ha, Randa. I'll probably be back tomorrow afternoon, so I'll see you then." I said to her. "Alright, love you!" "I love ya too, tootles!"
After I hung up I walked into the living room where everyone else was except Gerard, he was still in the kitchen. I sat on an empty love seat right by the kitchen door and whispered to Laurie.
"What movie is this?" "Oh this is um.... damn that movie, with the people, and the...oh wait not that one...um... The Karate Kid!" She whispered back. Ah, the Karate Kid...great move, 'Wax on, Wax off!'
Gerard entered the room and plopped down on the seat next to me.
"What movie...?" He said getting cut off from me. "The Karate Kid!" I smiled.
As we watched the movie I dozed off. Until, I was awoken by being poked and laughed at.
"She's out cold, Gerard!" Ariel snickered. "Should we dump water on her?" Kerrie asked. "No! My ass will get wet!" Gerard protested. "Just let her sleep!" Cy said holding back laughter. "How can she sleep like that?!" Bob exclaimed. Oh, it was that crazy. I cracked a smile on my face and opened my eyes slowly. I once again was startled by someone, this time it was Frank, he was right in my face. I pulled my head back and bounced into Gerard's stomach, in which he pretended to have the wind knocked out of him.
I sat up and stretched while everyone looked at me. "What's going on?" I yawned. "You fell asleep on his lap all night and he couldn't move." Halie laughed.
"Really?" I looked over to Gerard, he nodded. "We even got some on video when you were talking in your sleep." Ray laughed. "Ah no you didn't, give me that tape right this instant!" I said lurching off the couch.

Chapter 15: Superstitious and Predictions
Ray pulled the video tape from behind his back and wiggled it in front of me. I leaped off the couch and tried to grab it from him, but he managed to put it on top of his 'fro, and out of my reach. "Aw Christine can't reach!" Frank laughed. I stopped jumping like an idiot and looked at Frank and smiled, "You couldn't either if you wanted to!" His mouth dropped and he looked hurt, but then he burst out in laughter. After I was contained back on the couch, Ray put the tape in the VCR player and we all started to watch it.
"What did the monkey say? Was it Abu or A-poo the name of the monkey in Aladdin? Well...you know what Adena thinks your fat and that the reason the monkey ate your banana is because you ate his. " I sleep-talked in the video. It was funny because I was basically drooling on Gerard's lap...and he had a look of disgust on his face. My face turned a dark shade of red as everyone either laughed at me or with me. "You sleep in the most oddest ways." Bob remarked, looking very confused at the TV. "She's always slept funny." Frank commented.
After we had gotten done watching my 'nap-nap' time on the TV, Gerard, Frank, Halie, and Kerrie all came to drop me off back to my work, where my car was. It was a longer drive then I remembered it being the night before, but there wasn't a boring moment at all. Frank had decided to drive, and Halie was in the front with him so I sat next to Gerard. We talked through the whole car ride, sang, joked, and he even invited me to shows. As we pulled up to my studio, James' car was there, so they all decided to come in with me. James was chatting with Mr. McCain about the drawings and which ones she liked the best. "JAMES!" Frank called out to her. She looked at him, waved to him, then dived back into her conversation with my boss. "Let me see those drawings of yours that Frank mentioned to me this morning." Halie said to me. I showed her my drawings and the initial reaction for what everyone else had of them came upon her and Kerrie who looked on. "Could your dad draw?" Kerrie asked, knowing who my father was. "Yeah, I think so at least, I had seen some letters he wrote to my mom while she went to visit her sister, and he drew some really pretty things." I said. "Well talent must run in the family for you, can you sing?" Halie asked. "Um, I don't know, and no, I'm not going to sing now." I smiled. "But you were singing in the car!" Gerard exclaimed. "So....? That's different, there was music." I said. "Alright, alright, whatever, listen here's our number, we know yours, we should head back because the ride is a bit long." Gerard said handing me a piece of paper. I hugged each of them and waved them goodbye as they left.
As I arrived back to the house, I was greeted by Miranda who as always, asked for details. I told her to sit down, and let me explain everything to her.
"I can't believe you got to see him again!" Miranda squealed. "I know, but he was really different, he was still funny...but just different. He's changed." I said. "And is that a bad thing?" She asked. "It could be, but you know how I told you about Gerard... I think he's really nice." "I think you like him." Miranda said in an elementary school way. "Well...maybe, I don't know... hey listen I have to check on dad's house this weekend, want to house sit with me. I think Amber might come." I said.
I still had the house I lived in for a year, that my father was murdered in, and twice a month usually Miranda and I would go up there on a weekend we were free and make sure everything was alright. Amber, usually went by the house for me since she still lived in the area. "Yeah, sounds like a good idea, I could use a day in suburbia." She laughed. "Alright well, h'm, should we throw a party?" I asked her. "It's your house." Miranda said. "I know.... but it would feel weird... actually never mind it wouldn't, we are throwing a party." I said to her. "Good, because if you were to say no, I would have to beat the crap out of you." Miranda teased.

Chapter 16: Prevail and Prepare
As Miranda called up everybody, gave directions and such to the house, I engaged in getting things for the party, alcohol, non-alcoholic drinks, chips, plastic wrap, tape, locks, and other things to safeguard the house.
Since Miranda didn't know the band, I had called them and invited them, and since they had no gigs they decided to come. Which I was more then glad to hear.
So... the day of the party, Miranda and I are scrambling all over the house to lock rooms people shouldn't go in, remove all the breakables in boxes and put them in a closed off room. We put plastic wrap along sharp edges or places people could fall and get hurt if there drunk. I knew to do this from when my dad had his wild parties. There were other things I did too, made sure I labeled the beer and the non-alcohol in easy to read drunk-understandable terms, and other tricks I had picked up. I made sure the house was clean, there weren't any tools or sharp objects out, and that there was entertainment. There were only 4 rooms closed off, my room, my dads room, Jake's old room, and the room that had the stairs to the attic. The bathroom's were stocked with extra towels and toilet paper, and for the girls there was an assortment of products for touching up, and even a few pairs of clothing for them to change into in case they got something spilled on them. I was completely prepared. The first people to arrive were the street kids from back in the day NYC when I had run off and met Miranda. A few of them didn't make it, and we knew why, over the years some of them had overdosed or had died somehow.
Next were a few bands I knew that were really cool people, and they were ecstatic to be in the house of a rock legend. They had asked me to show me some stuff my dad had wrote, so I told them to chill in the living room while I went upstairs, unlocked my father's room, and took out the papers he had written before his death. I flipped through some until I found lyrics. As I sat on a chair, and not his bed where he was killed, I read the lyrics. And it truly scared me as to how I didn't understand these before. It was a song called, "Bury Me In Black." Many words were crossed out and written in a handwriting I had recognized as Jake's. But I read it anyway. The first part was my fathers, talking about how he lied to me about my mom and how he had drank so much. A line talked about calling or writing to my mom, the last part was crossed out and a line with the word shotgun, the gun my father was murdered with, was put in. The next few lines talked about seeing the insides of a person, Jake's handwriting. Then it talked about how much he missed me, although it was hard to really find the meaning. A crash from downstairs, hurried me out of my fathers room with a few papers. The best part about the song I had discovered was there was tabs for all parts. My dad was truly a genius.
When I got down stairs, many more people had arrived and I had spotted Ray with Ariel. Behind them was Gerard and behind him was Kerrie and Cy. Mikey trailed behind Cy with Bob, Frank, Halie, and Laurie. I ran up to the bunch and greeted them. Then greeted James who had come on her own with a friend of hers. Then I went back to the band that had asked to see my dad's work. I didn't show them that song though, I was going to show Gerard those. They looked over the lyrics and were really amazed at my dads talent. Then I made my way through the crowd back to Gerard, sat him down on the couch, and let him read the lyrics.
"What's it about?" He asked. "My father wrote these, and Jake had scribbled out some of the lyrics and put in his own. Its about him lying to me and missing me, and Jake wanting to kill him. The letters and calls he tried to reach my mother with." I told him. "Wow, that's really strong, and there's really awesome metaphors in it. But, what did your dad lie to you about...if you don't mind me asking." He said. "All my life I had been told my mom had died from an illness a year after I was born, but really she had just disappeared one day a year after I was born. No one wanted me to go look for her because that would cause my dad too much pain." I said to him. "Why did you show me this, if its personal." He said. "Because I want a favor." I smirked. "What kind a favor?" He teased back. "Could you possibly record the song, or play it or something? I don't one of my dads last works to be forgotten about. Could you please?" I smiled clasping my hands and kneeling on the couch. "I wouldn't want that to happen either!" He said. "Oh thank you thank you thank you!" I squealed, hugged him, and then put the papers back in there place. As I came down the stairs, I bumped in to Miranda, who was intoxicated, and whispered in my ear. "I got the hots for Frank!" I tapped her on the head and let her continue dancing, or whatever on the stairs. Then I bumped in to Frank, who was carrying a case of bears. He then shooed me back up the stairs and by my room. "Unlock it." He said pointing to the door. I took the keys out and unlocked my door, I didn't mind him coming into my room, I trusted him. He grabbed my wrist and pulled me in, locking the door behind him. I then noticed in his other hand was a large paper bag, he sat that down on the floor along with the beer. "Sit." He directed to me. I sat on my bed and waited for what he had to tell me, he was obviously heavily intoxicated and had been very cold in tone to me. He put his hands behind his back as he paced , thinking. He then stopped in front of the bag and took out something and put it behind his back. He walked over to me, told me to close my eyes. I did so, and he placed a blindfold over my eyes. "Oh a surprise!" I said excitedly, trying to break his mood. "Shut up!" He commanded. I then felt him lay a cold metal on my wrists and above my head. "What the--?" I said before he put something over my mouth to keep me from speaking. "Ha! The contract states you'll be there for me in what ever I need. And I need this more then you could imagine." I could feel his breath on my cheek. At this point I became very scared and tried to stand up. He pushed me back down and then slapped me. "You're not going anywhere. And don't think you could escape." He said after. I felt him get off the bed and a bottle cap open. He then took down the thing in my mouth and shoved a bottle of beer into my mouth. I sputtered in drinking it from the surprise in it and was worried how fast I was going to get drunk since I had a few beers before.

Chapter 17: All of the Attention
I was beyond the point of knowing the direction of where this was going.... and as I felt a blade on my skin as he cut off my shirt, I could feel in dive into my skin. I didn't want this to happen, but we were bound to, and you couldn't break something like that.....
At the party, No one's point of view
Gerard searched the crowd, frantically with a beer in his hand. He wanted to talk to Christine so badly. He then spotted her best friend, Miranda, this time dancing on stool. "Hey, have you seen Christine?" He asked her. "CHRISTINE! Where are you? Did you know Christine is my pet snail?!" She yelled, completely out of her mind. "Never mind you." he mumbled as he walked on. "Halie have you seen Christine?" Gerard said spotting Halie with a frantic look on her face also. "No, have you seen Frank though, he's been missing for a half hour about." She yelled over the crowd. "Christine's been missing for that long too...maybe they took a walk to catch up on things?" She shouted back. "We'll have to ask when we see them!" She shouted back.
Back in Christine's Room (Her point of view)
The tears coming from my eyes were being absorbed from the blindfold, he would never know how much he was hurting me. My best friend, a person I had trusted and cared for as a little brother...
Later On... Frank had sneaked out of the room through the window, by placing the mattresses out of the window and jumping onto them. He had left the key to unlock the handcuffs on the pillow and once I figured this out, I quickly did so. I didn't bother trying to look after me. I quickly put on something loose and cleaned my make-up a bit. I then found a note he had written saying whenever he needed it, he was going to get it. I knew there was no way of it either, Frank had too much leverage over me.
I hid any evidence of what had happened, and prepared mentally a story for which to make an excuse as I came down the stairs, where the party was still thriving. As I made my way across the room, I felt a hand on the shoulder that had been cut, I winced and turned around. "Where have you been?!" Gerard asked worriedly. I slide his hand off my shoulder and told him Frank and I had decided to talk alone in my room about the last few years. He seemed to have taken the cover-up story and then asked me where Frank was. I told him he wasn't feeling well, so he just left. He believed that also. He then smiled, grabbed my hand and led me through the crowd to the backyard. But I stopped him from going out there, I didn't want him to see the mattresses on the ground. So instead we stayed in the dining room, where no one was. We sat on a little couch that was placed in the adjacent corner of a small China cabinet, which had been emptied earlier. We sat there for a few minutes, he obviously opened his mouth to speak a few times, but shut it when he didn't think that was the right thing to say. At that moment a feeling came over me. I wanted him to protect me, but I didn't want him to know, what had happened, and was going to happen.

Chapter 18: Image of the Invisible
I curled my legs underneath me and laid my head on Gerard. "You seem like somethings wrong." He said softly. "Just tired." I pretended to yawn. "I barely know you Gerard, tell me about yourself." I said staring forward. "Well, I'm 26, 27 in a few weeks, I am sobering up from drugs and well cutting down on beer... I use to live in New Jersey, I went to art school in NYC, and that's all I can think of at the moment." He said. "I would introduce myself but everyone knows me." I said to him. "I'm sure there's things no one knows about you." He said. "There probably is." I answered him back remembering what happened a little while ago. "When did you meet Frank?" I asked. "Mikey had actually tried out for bassist for Frank's last band Pencey Prep, but didn't get in. Our two bands toured for months in the way way way back beginning and when Pencey Prep split we invited Frank to the band." He explained.
"Oh, I see. Why'd you start the band?" I asked. "The ex-drummer Matt and I had something forming, and then 9/11 came and it changed our direction in life. I learned that my art wasn't going to take me anywhere, and kaboom here I am. My turn, if you don't mind me asking, how come you couldn't stop yourself from being forced onto by your dad's guitarist?" He said. I shifted in the seat a bit, "Jake was even worse then my dad was when it came to drugs and stuff. In fact, he was a billion times worse. He'd have girls everywhere with him, and the girls would let themselves be destroyed by Jake. If the girl ever refused him, he would turn to violence, no matter even if she still said she wanted to do it, just not at that time. He would drug, threaten, get the girl drunk or anything to make that girl comply to his rules. Once your in Jake's eyes' he'll never take them off you until he's satisfied. And my dad was always telling me about how he wanted my mom, but she was the only person he couldn't have, and I resemble my mother, and my room was right next to his...." "I'm sorry it wasn't right for me to ask." He said. "You said if it was OK with me, it was, and I told you." I answered him. "This house is really pretty." He said. "Yeah, my dad had fallen in love with it, so I decided to keep it. I come here twice a month to check on it, usually one of my dads' friends Amber comes here a bit. Plus, this house holds history, I had to lock several rooms upstairs so nobody could go up there." I told him. "Which rooms?" "My room, a room up to the attic, my dads mini-studio, Jake's room, and my dad's room." I said. "Wasn't your dad killed in his room?" He asked. "Yeah... there kind of is still a bloodstain on the wall, I hate going in there. I really haven't changed anything in the house, so whenever I come back here I feel like I'm 16 again." I sighed. "Did you like being 16?" He asked. "No, not really, sure it was the year Frank helped me escape, but I went through so much, especially in this house, and I've only been in Jake's room twice since I took over the house. I'm thinking about thrashing everything in his room. It still hurts whenever I think about what happened." I said. "I wouldn't expect it not too." He sympathized. "Yeah, I'm just glad Jake got life sentence in a Federal Prison without parole, you know there's alot of rape in those federal prisons." I laughed. He laughed too.
"Christine!! Oh my dear Christine!" I heard Miranda yelling somewhere in the house. "What?" I yelled back. "You should come see this!" She yelled back laughing. Gerard and I hopped off the couch, both a bit disappointed we couldn't talk any longer. Once we got into the living room, we started laughing. Ray's hair was in poofy pig tails, and he had drastic drag queen make-up on. It looked like he had gotten to the clothes I put in the bathroom for girls to change, because he had put some type of fruit underneath a tight shirt. Mikey, was also a drag queen, dancing on the coffee table with Ray. Ariel and Cy, were in the clothes that Ray and Mikey had came in and were also on the coffee table dancing away. Laurie, Halie, Kerrie, James, Bob, Miranda, and anyone who was still there were all looking on laughing hysterically. I quickly opened a drawer where I had hid a video camera in case anything like this came along. "Revenge!" I cried while taping it, they'd be awfully sorry that they had video tapped me napping.

Chapter 19; Closer and Closer until we're falling and falling
The next morning I woke up on the floor, next to Gerard, who was curled up in a fetal position. Miranda, with a lampshade on her head, was sleeping across the coffee table, which had to be really uncomfortable. Everyone was in odd positions. Mikey and Cy, in their drag, were curled together, under the same coffee table Miranda was sleeping on. Ray and Ariel, also in their drag, had their wrists handcuffed to the stairway banister and were slumped up against it. Laurie and Bob, were basically sleeping on top of each other, on leg on another, very silly. Kerrie was curled up on the stairs, almost like a cat. Halie was at the base of the stairs, also in a cat-like position...with whiskers drawn on her face. Everyone seemed to be in their pairs. Ariel and Ray. Mikey and Cy. Halie and Kerrie, who were best friends and could normally have been known to act, cat-like. Miranda, which if Frank was here, could have been with him. The only person missing was James and the guy she brought... But there was another pair on the floor, one curled up in a ball and the other awake and just a little hungover with a video tape next to her along with beer cups. And that person would be me. And of course Gerard...
But, I got up off the floor, stretched, and went into the kitchen. Where James and the guy friend she brought were. I opened up a locked closet and took out a big black garbage bag and rubber gloves, and started to clean the garbage. It was boring, everyone was snoring, my head hurt, and I was sounding like a bitch with all the complaining.
I had worked all the way into the living room and to get a cup that was right next to where I had slept I leaned over Gerard. But he, unconsciously, kicked in his sleep, knocking me down to the ground across his legs. He shot up and almost screamed. I started giggling, seeing that Mikey hit his head in a startled manner on the coffee table and Miranda rolled off it. "Oops!" I whispered. Gerard shoved me off, mumbled, then smiled, then went back to sleep. I got up, helped Miranda get on to her feet before she started laughing uncontrollably, help rub Mikey's head and return to garbage duty. "Why are you cleaning up this mess, your the daughter of a rock legend." Miranda moaned. "Yeah, but that doesn't make me better then anyone, I don't live completely off my dad's money." I whispered back. "I was kidding." She said tiredly. I was surprised that no one else had awakened from my loud fall, especially Bob because he looked like he would jump awake in a heartbeat. Miranda sat on top of the coffee table and watched me work before she got up and left for the kitchen, kicking Gerard awake, and mumbling about coffee. Gerard awoke this time, seeing he couldn't win against everyone trying to wake him and silently watched me work for a few minutes also. "Well that's no fun." He said getting up. "Yeah, but last night was pretty rough for me last night so just getting this mess out while clear my mind." I said. "What's the matter?" He asked. "Um, nothing, too many drinks perhaps?" I said trying to cover-up. "Oh, well then I'll help you, there's sponges and stuff in the kitchen right?" He asked. "Yup, and thanks a lot." I said to him smiling, while picking up some beer bottles and putting them on the side.

Chapter 20: She Only Bleeds In Black
Gradually, everyone started to wake up and help clean. Except for Ray and Ariel, who were still handcuffed to the stairs' banister. So, I sent Miranda, Cy, Laurie, Halie, Kerrie, all to look for the key to unlock them. After a half an hour of searching for the key, there was no luck on where it was. So I dug up a saw and gave it to Bob, who sawed Ray free. But, Ariel wouldn't let Bob come near her with that saw. Ray then danced around the room, enjoying his new freedom. As he was doing this, out popped the key from his 'fro. And now we had extremely laughed as he blushed and unlocked Ariel who threw her arms around him as she laughed. "I'm going to take a quick shower, you guys can make some lunch or dinner or whatever." I said going up the stairs.
When I got out from my shower, which a towel around my hair, I walked into the kitchen to see what was smelling so good. "Ah just in time!" Laurie said spotting me first. "We went all out." Kerrie said next to Laurie. "No, you didn't." Bob said. "Then who did?" Cy said. "Us, the guys." Ray said putting a pot on the table. "Yeah, that's how it should be, the guys do the work..." Ariel started. "...And we do nothing!" Halie laughed. "Yeah, yeah, now just sit and eat." Gerard said sitting.
There was pasta, with vodka sauce, a veggie dish, chicken scappolinne, apple-strawberry crumble, ice cream, eggplant Parmesan, and there was more. I looked at the pasta, "Amazing no red gravy!" Bob and Laurie looked at me oddly. Miranda laughed, "Yeah I told them you hated red sauce, and your full blooded Italian." "You are such a bad Italian!" Mikey teased. "So, I bet you would of called it 'sauce' which it is not because it's gravy." I smiled. "She got you there, Mikey." Gerard agreed. "Shut up we come from the same mom!" He said. "So your going to cry to her?" Ray chimed in. "Jeez, why does everyone pick on me?!" Mikey said sarcastically. Cy pinched his cheeks and said in a baby voice, "because you're so adorable!" Halie laughed so hard she fell out of her seat and Kerrie knocked over her drink. "You guys are nuts, we should be eating not talking." Ariel said keeping her cool.
After our big lunch, I decided that I would take a jog while everyone else watched a movie before they would leave. I tied my right sneaker and as I was tyeing my right, Gerard came up to me. "Can I join?" He asked. "You'll slow me down." I teased. "Why do you think that?" He asked. "'Cause you smoke." I said. "How do you know?" He asked again. "I can smell it on you." I said. He then lifted his arm to his nose and smelled his jacket and wriggled his nose. "Um, so can I come?" He asked. "If you can keep up with a girl who had to out run mobs, then yeah you can come." I said, putting my hair up in a ponytail.
We headed outside and I immediately broke into a light jog. He not expecting this ran to catch up and already sounded out of breath. "Oh dear Gerard, we really must kick you into shape." I laughed jogging a little faster down the street. He almost tripped trying to catch up to me. "We really need to get you off your habit." I laughed. I hadn't even lost my breath yet. "And...wha...you don't smoke?" He choked out. "I do, but occasionally..." I said stopping mid sentence to pull a cigarette and lighter from my pocket. i lit the tip and put the lighter back in my pocket all while jogging. "How the hell do you jog and run?!" He exclaimed. "I've done this for years." I told him. "So why do you smoke?" He hastily asked. "Nerves." I answered turning down a block. "Nerves?" He asked. I stopped, since I had been running, and walked up to where he had stopped after me. "When something bad happens , it comes in as a compulsion to just ease my mind. So I smoke under stress or if something bad happens. Do you understand it, or do I have to spell it out?" I said. "So what 'bad thing' happened?" "None of your business." I said walking ahead. "Please, tell me!" He begged. "Nope, I wouldn't even tell Miranda." I said. "Would you tell Frank?" He asked. I paused for a second. "I think he already knows." I turned my face to the opposite side so he couldn't see me gag. "Can I have a cig?" He asked. "No, I'm trying to rid you of your habit." "But you do it to!" He whined like a kid. "My case is different. And you need your lung power so your voice could 'serenade like an angel.'" I said teasing him. "You really don't like me!" He said sadly. "Nope, your just easy to tease." "If I were to tease you, you'd get mad." He said. "How do you know that?" "Um, I don't know." "Well your wrong, I got teased a bunch of times at lunch. Did I get upset?" I told him. "Nope." "This is silly, talking about teasing." I said. He laughed. "What's so funny?" "Oh, nothing..." He tried to shake it off. I dropped my cigarette on the sidewalk, and stomped my foot on it. I then lunged at him and knocked him on the lawn. I sat on top of him. "What's so funny?" I demanded. He started laughing more. "If I told you, you would get off." "Your so crude!" I laughed. He just laughed. I grabbed a bunch of grass in my hand, got up, put my sneaker on his chest, crouched low to him, and held the grass above his precious hair. "Tell me!" I said, letting a few blades of grass slip out of my grass and into his hair. "Ah NO!" He whimpered. I then smashed my hand into his hair and ruffled the grass into it. "That's what you get for not telling me." I said standing up and dusting off my knees. I help him up and he tried picking the grass out of his hair, but I wasn't going to tell him he had dirt on his face.
When we got back to my house , the first person to see him was James. "What the...?" Was all she said before she laughed. Gerard looked at her confused and I surpassed a smile. "God, Gerard, can't win to a girl?" Bob teased looking over.Gerard's mouth dropped and he ran upstairs to the bathroom. I counted the seconds before he ran down the stairs and tackled me, this time he sat on me. "Not a smart move!" I laughed. "No I happen to think this is a very smart move, until you apologize." "Sissy!" Ariel laughed as she headed up the stairs to use the bathroom. "You really think so, both my hands ARE free. I could easily slap you or something." I said. He then gained control of both my arms. "See, now, you have to." "But then you'd have to get off!" I mocked him. "I'm being serious!" He smiled. "Yeah, but you know, I still have control of my legs...and I could just as easily slide my leg until you are VERY uncomfortable." He looked behind him and then glared at me while he helped me up. "I have wit." I said. "No, you've got blackmail."

Chapter 21: Ink
"Well, whatever I have isn't going to stop me from going to get a tattoo right now, your welcome to join if you would like to." I said. "Uh, no, I'm afraid of needles." He said smiling. "Ha, well I'm going to change. ANYONE WANT TO COME WITH ME TO GET A TATTOO?!" After all the girls agreed to come with me, I changed and we left the house, while the guys watched a movie. In the car, I talked all the girls into getting a tattoo, and this tattoo, we'd all share something in it. It would be 2 angel wings with 'L.H.J.K.A.C.M.C's Angel Dust,' written on it. We could have any tattoo, but around it or incorporated into it would be the angel wings. I was going to get two tattoos The one I wanted on the small of my back, would be the exact guitar my dad had customized. It said 'Christina' on it in a medieval type font. It was his favorite guitar, and he only used it once when they had to play a show on my birthday, he pulled me on stage, sat me on a stool, and got the whole stadium of people to sing Happy Birthday to me. This tattoo would have the angel wings around it. The other tattoo I was unsure of what I wanted to get, I wanted it below my hipbone, where it would be covered by underwear or a bathing suit. I wanted something that would say, keep out, but in a sweet way almost. I was thinking of the Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland, but I had heard of so many people getting that one. And then I thought of my favorite flower, a rose, the rose could have a small stem with thorns, and across the rose could be a shotgun. I liked that idea. As we got to the parlor, we were asked to see identification and they made a fuss over me. "Are you related to Mavis Soprano, 'cause if my memory serves me well he had a daughter named Christina." The tattoo artist said. "Yes, I am, but that doesn't make any difference. I'm no celebrity, so anyway can we get on with this?" I asked. We waited until all the tattoo artists were done with the tattoo's they were working on before they started ours, because we wanted to do this together. We all held hands as they placed the needles on our skin and designed our desires away. Everyone finished and watched as I got my second tattoo done. But I decided I wanted an eyebrow piercing also, so to hurry it up, I got the piercing done along with my 'almost private' tattoo. It was an odd feeling because I couldn't focus on either pain. So it didn't hurt basically. After I was done, Laurie was given a gauze on hers because she felt touching it, and we were all given instructions how to take care of it so it wouldn't become infected. We then took pictures with the tattoo artists, paid our bill, and left. We arrived back home and assembled ourselves in a line. "Someone count to three, and then we'll show our tats." James said. "Um, 1...2...3!" Mikey, Gerard, Ray, Bob, and James friend whose name I still didn't know said in unison. We all showcased our tattoo to them and while I showed on the tattoo on my back, I removed the hair from my face so when I turned around my eyebrow piercing could be seen. "Besides from that tattoo and piercing, she has another tattoo!" Kerrie squealed. "Sh! No ones supposed to know about that one!" I looked at her with wide eyes. "Where is it?" Asked Gerard. "In a place for none-of-your business!" Ariel said looking at Ray. "Yes, what Ariel said." I stated. Soon after everyone left, for their drive to the city, and after that Miranda and I went back to our cabin in the woods. I was happy to be at my real house, feed my cat, Houdini and write in my diary. I had always kept a diary since I could write, because a tutor of mine inspired me too. She told me that I would want to remember my days because she couldn't remember her childhood all to well. And my little mind, couldn't imagine not remembering the best days of her entire life. So I kept a diary, and I always named it the same name, my mothers name. But for the last 8 years, my diary's have not been given that name. Because, I refused to. Maybe a few days after, at my father's funeral, I was reunited with my mother. At first it was nice, we hugged and cried. She told me how beautiful I was, but she completely ignored my father's death. Soon after we got into a huge fight and upon meeting each other for only an hour and a half would not speak to each other. We both left without saying god-bye but I know she's still alive. I know someone who has a house by her that tells me so. One day I'll make everything OK with her, but I just can't when I'm not ready too. I then went to sleep quickly with the help of sleeping pills so I wouldn't think of the past party.
I woke up to Houdini kneading my stomach, pawing my tattoo, which tingles just a little bit. I cradled him in my arms, gave him a kiss, and let him run along to catch a mouse or something.
I then crawled out of bed and made a pot of coffee and some toast. There was a knock at the door, and I glanced at the time on the wall. It was seven in the morning. If anyone it would be Miranda, for she had already left for work. But I knew it wasn't her.

Chapter 23: Rude Awakening
I opened the door, and was surprised to see my next door neighborhood, well he lived half a mile down the road, but he was the closet person to us. "Your stupid ball of violent fur, has left me another dead present!" He yelled at me, shaking a bloody bag in my face. "Mr. Monroe! I do believe my cat would not walk a half a mile just to give you a dead mouse. "Well, you can take back your flea bags' dead mouse, because I know it was him! Stop lying Christine! Next time this fucking happens I am going to the police and filing a complaint report! You know what Christine, next time that goddamn cat steps foot on my property I'm going to blast away the little fuckers brains out!" He screamed. "Mr. Monroe! You can't touch my fucking cat! If it ever happens again why don't you pick up the phone, call me, and I'll come over and clean up the mess, because my cat stays in my yard during the whole day. If you DARE to touch my cat, so help me god, I will strangle you! Is that clear Mr. Monroe?!" I yelled back to him. I was so pissed. Houdini never stepped foot in his goddamn yard, he just has hated us from day 1 because he wanted to buy our property so he could go deer hunting on this property. "Ms. Soprano I WILL NOT TOLERATE this kind of fucking talk from you! You better get your damn cat euthanized or never let it out of this house, because I will sue your ass, and kill that thing!" And with that said, he dropped the bag of the dead mouse and stormed away to his blue pickup truck. "Fucking asshole!" I mumbled picking the bag up, throwing it in the trash can and going back into my house. "Houdini!" I called. He jumped on the couch near me and sat waiting for me. "Stupid fat cat, Mr. Monroe thinks your putting dead mice on his lawn. So I won't let out you for awhile. Jesus, why am I talking to you? You don't even understand me." I said scratching his ear. "I've got to get to work anyway." I said getting up.
I soon had a cup of coffee, changed and left for work, making sure Houdini couldn't get out of the house.
Mr. McCain greeted me with a promotion, because I basically had landed him a great opportunity for doing the MCR merchandise. "So you are going to coordinate bands, you can still design if you like it so much but that would be more of a hobby perhaps. Your office is right over there now, yes an office. You'll be in work much more now. Congratulations Christine!" He said happily. "Thanks Mr. McCain. So um, do I get like a briefing or something for what I have to do?" I asked. "Oh yes, yes, yes. Managers will be coming in and you set an appointment for when they can come in, so the panelists and you could listen to them play. If they are good enough you sign them, if they don't make it, tell them what they could do better and better luck next time. Now, I need you to go there immediately alright, so get working!" He said.
I walked into my new office, it was very plain. The windows pointed to a little park where I could watch little kids play on a seesaw and swings. It was nice. I jumped at the sound of the phone on the desk and answered it. "Hello, Ms. Soprano speaking." "Hi, can I set an appointment for my band to be viewed for a label?" Someone asked on the other end. I sat down at my desk and opened a huge desk calendar-date book. "Um, sure, when would you like it?" I asked. "Is tomorrow at 3 good?" The person asked. "Uh, yeah, what's your name and your bands' name?" I said checking off the time.

Chapter 24: Tail between these legs of mine
"Um, hello, can't you tell who this is?" The voice said. "No, not really, c'mon who is this?" I leaned back in my chair. "Jesus, I'll give you one more try." He said, after that he started to hum. "GERARD!" I yelled into the phone. "OW! Don't scream, please, I'm on my cell!" He pleaded. "Yeah what do you want?" I asked. "Well, James told me about your promotion so I was wondering if tomorrow I could come and celebrate with you. I'll get my mom to make you food?" He said with hope in his voice. My eyes slowly rolled back in my head, he wanted to spend time with me. "HM, I don't know. You should really practice!" I tried to make him beg. "Well were going on tour not for a long time, I mean a major tour. We got accepted to the Taste of Chaos tour in the winter. But, never mind, please?" He said. "Well Congratulations on that! Hm, alright. I have to go shopping, would you like to come?" I said. "Where shopping?" He asked. "I have to go to Walmart to pick up some stuff tomorrow. So anyway what time will you be coming around tomorrow?" I asked. "The time I asked for asking to be 'signed,'" He said. "Oh alright, well I'll talk to you later." "Bye." And that was it. I pushed off the desk and swirled around and looked at the park from out of the windows. I watched as a little girl was escorted into the park by her mother, who seated herself on a bench and watched her child mount the sea-saw. The little girl had no one to sea-saw with, and even though I couldn't see her facial expression, the way her head was tilted told me everything. I had the same tilt in my head, the same lack of care as a child. I wanted so badly to go down their and be her partner. But I watched as her mother directed her to the jungle gym, where she could a least enjoy herself. When I was little, I had no one to direct me to where I could at least have some fun. I was always the little girl playing on the sea-saw with the ghost.
I then stood up, and went to my old cubicle, where I boxed everything on my desk, and brought it into my office.
As I set up everything my phone rang again, and I answered it with a hello. "Hey it's James." "Hey, what's up?" "Gerard mentioned to me that he mentioned to you that we are going to be going to Taste of Chaos this year." She said. "Yes he did." I replied. "Well, would you like to come? I'll give you a few days to think about it." She asked. "Wow, that's awesome! But why do you want me to come?" I said. "Well, I can't manage this band alone any longer, and we've been going through a lot of pressure and stress with switching over to another record label and plans for a new video. And this will be, what I believe, to be their break through tour, and seeing how that is, I could use a little help. After all, you know what tour life is like." She said. "Well, I'll get back to you in a few days then." I said hiding the excitement in my voice. I sort of missed being on tour, I wonder if tour life had changed. "Alright, I'll talk to you later, and congratulations on your promotion!" She bid me goodbye. "Thanks, bye." I said.
Later that night...
Miranda and I just chilled, we had had a busy week filled with partying and what not. "Tomorrow I'm going shopping with Gerard." I said while eating dinner. This provoked her. "What did I say, I said you liked him before, but now I think you're obsessed, your so silly. Anyway I forgot to ask, but why do you think Frank left the party early?" She said. I looked at her. I wasn't sure if I was going to tell her the truth or if I was going to leave it a lie. And if I told her the truth would she believe it. Instead of answering her question right away, I stood up from the couch, and went to the kitchen's closet to look for some chips. "Where are the chips?" I said trying to think of my choice. "I think it's in your room.!" She called back. I then ventured into my room and found the bag of chips next to Houdini who was curled up on my bed. I snatched the bag, and petted him a little bit and then returned to the living room where Miranda was. "So you never answered my question." She said. "Promise me you'll believe me." I said to her. "I'm your best friend, I have no reason to not believe you." She told me. "Kay, so um, Frank, um, how do I say this..." I said. I felt a feeling my nose that always told me I was going to cry. My eyes blurred and I closed them, and relived the night. I was watching what happened at the party, and I could feel something on my back, I knew it was Miranda's but I was seeing Frank's hand on my back. "Please don't do this to me!" I tried to tell him, but his lips were on mine. Miranda then shook me so I opened my eyes. Her own eyes, were filled with deep concern and worriment. "Please tell me what happened." She said softly. "Frank....he...he...raped me." I said.

Chapter 25: What a wonderful caricature of intimacy
"Oh no." Was all Miranda said before she took me into a hug.
After a few minutes of this she let go and tilted my face to hers. "Why didn't you tell me earlier?" She said softly. "Afraid." I said. "Of what?" "I don't know, but you can't tell anyone, I'm serious. I just have to talk to him." I said to her. "That's not a good idea." She said. "No, it is. He would keep doing it to me, over and over. I've got to set him straight." I said. "Yeah, but he's not going to listen. You need to tell someone." She repeated. "I already told you. And your not going to tell anyone." I said back to her. "Chris, I'm only telling you this for your own good. Tell Gerard, I think h elikes you back, he would defiantly help you out." She said. "I'm going to bed." I snapped at her and went to my room. I closed the door behind me and sat on the bed next to Houdini. He gave a meow as I startled him and stroked him. "Houdini, your the only one who knows everything." I said to him as he laid across my lap.
The Next Morning
I awoke, showered, munched on some breakfast and waited for a bit until I left my house for the Wal-mart. He told me he was going to meet me there since the one we planned to go to was a half hour away from where we both lived to make it easier for us. I arrived a bit early so I drove down the street and got myself a cappuccino from star-bucks and returned back to the Wal-Mart parking lot. I then left the car and waited where we had planned to meet, occasionally sipping my piping hot cappuccino and waiting. He came a few minutes later and gave me a huge hug. "So what did you want to get here?" He asked as we entered the building. "I need pepper spray, i want to get some new bed sheets, kitty chow, and some other stuff." I said. "Pepper spray?" He asked. "Yeah my dad always made sure I carried pepper spray wherever I go, and I ran out weeks ago. So I need some." I told him. "And cat food? Do you like eat that stuff?" He asked. "No silly! I have cat, his name is Houdini." I said ruffling his hair. "So what do you need to get?" I asked him. "The usual stuff." He said. "Like?" I asked. "Whatever I like." He laughed. "Ah, that's always good. So James asked me to come on tour with you guys in the winter." I said. "Ah, yeah, she mentioned that to me, what do you think your going to do?" He asked. "I might go, I mean... my boss really won't care, he practically loves me. I would actually love to go. Just who else is going?" I asked him. "Well were getting another two tour buses I heard James saying. Ariel, Kerrie, Halie, Cy, Laurie, James, You, and I guess whoever you'd like could come. Ooh I like this!" He said averting his attention to a sponge bob bed sheet. "But I think I want it!" I laughed tugging it from him. "Na-uh I saw it first." He tugged back. "Fine, I'm taking the Lion King one." I scoffed sarcastically. "Damn, you suck!" He whined putting his bed sheet into his cart.
After we finished our shopping, we decided to drive back up to my house and hang out there. "Kay this is our cabin." I said walking up the few steps and unlocking the door. "Isn't it a bachorlette pad then?" He laughed. "Sure, what ever you'd like it to be! Houdini!" I said lamely. Houdini ran up to me and ran across my legs rubbing his head on my knee. "This is Houdini, Houdini, Gerard." I said picking the cat up. Gerard stroked him and smiled as he did so. "Kay, c'mon I want to show you something." I said putting Houdini down and leaving the house. "But we only got here!" He pretended to whine. "C'mon!" I said and I grabbed his wrist to pull him a long.
"Where are we going?" He asked five minutes later. "We're almost there, I come here often to, draw and think and remember." I said. "Now sh, if you talk from now on it will ruin the surprise." I whispered.
As we got to my little area, I looked at his mesmerized face. "Astounding." He whispered.

Chapter 26: Then music with her silver sound
(Just for future notice i might be switching to no ones point of view more often!)
Upon the rolling hills and treetops sat two friends, now encased in the glow of sunset there conversation had not dried thin. There eyes studied the landscape while their voice studied each other. "This is where I came to draw your bands' t-shirts. It's where I come for any inspiration. Because you may only see what's so beautiful about it, don't you?" Christine said to Gerard. "Yeah, why would there be anything wrong here?" He asked. "There is plenty. See that tree way in the distance, it's sick, I called a few days ago for dendrologists to come and take a look at the tree...you know people who study trees. And over there," She pointed to a place long in the distance by the tallest mountain. "Trees are being cut down for farming, in the process a doe and her fawn were killed." "That's really bad." He remarked.
"Ye-," but her response was cut short by an angry voice that yelled, 'You!' to them. Both of them startled, stood up and looked behind them. An angry Miranda marched her way up to them. "You liar!" She screamed to Christine. "What the hell are you talking about?!" Christine shot back confused. "I'm talking about a phone call I made an hour ago to Frank! He told me that never happened, that he was sick and left the party early! LIAR! Trying to bring yourself more goddamn attention 'princess,' or are you trying to make someone look bad?!" Miranda's eyes flared as she annunciated each word. "You'd rather believe him then me? You barely even know him. You know what? I bet, I bet your defending him because you like him!" Christine angrily yelled. Gerard looked on in disbelief. "Uh!" Miranda scoffed. "First of all, I never said I liked Frank, just thought he was cute, second of all you little whore!" And with that said Miranda slapped Christine. Gerard intervened and stepped in between the two. "I have no idea what's going on but it's going to have to stop! Right now." He said, his voice now raised and alarmed. Miranda stared at Gerard violently, and peeked behind him to see Christine crying, her face red. Gerard turned to Christine and spoke softly to her, "You can come with me to stay for the night." He said. Miranda overhearing butted-in, "If I were you Gerard, I would not even try because she may be pretending to like you so she can pull you into her silly trap!" Miranda shouted. "That's enough, please. Christine, answer my damn question." He sounded annoyed. He looked back at Christine who was sobbing uncontrollably. He grabbed her wrist and pulled her away from Miranda and her favorite spot.
Once back at the cabin, he sat her in his car while he got Miranda to give him some of her night stuff, which she chucked at him. They then drove silently back to the band's house in the city. "Thank you." She said quietly lifting the bag Gerard had stuffed her stuff into. They walked quietly up to the house, which Gerard unlocked so they could get in. The nightly gang was over, all the girl friends, Kerrie, and Halie. "Hey Christine, what's up?!" Lauren called cuddled in Bob's arms. Christine just shrugged her shoulders and forced a small smile. "She's going to be staying over the night." Gerard said walking into the kitchen. "I thought I smelt it! You dumb ass, you left the toaster on with tin foil in it. Mikey, this is like the fork in the toaster and the heater in the shower. When will you learn that certain appliances don't mix well with other things!" Gerard yelled from the kitchen. Mikey smiled and Cy playfully smacked him on the head. Halie walked up to Christine and noticed a tear in her eye. "Huh?" She said lifting up her chin. "Hey...Hey, what's wrong?" Halie said talking softly. Christine just shook her head. "C'mon, here I'll round up all the girls and we'll have a mini sleepover, stay up all night and be girls. No boys, okay?" Halie said sweetly.
